1. Data Collection and Use

To provide and improve our services, we collect certain information when you use the HAIC-MM platform. This includes:

  • Organizational Details: Information about your organization that you voluntarily provide as part of the assessment process.
  • Assessment Data: Your responses to the HAIC-MM assessment questions.

This information is used solely for the purpose of generating your AI maturity assessment, providing you with results, and for internal analysis to enhance the platform's algorithms and user experience. We are committed to data minimization and only collect what is essential. We do not sell or share your personally identifiable information with third parties for marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

2. Usage of AI Maturity Assessments

The HAIC-MM platform utilizes the information you provide to generate a comprehensive assessment of your organization's AI maturity. Please understand that:

  • Insight Generation: Your input is crucial for the platform to produce relevant insights and recommendations.
  • Data Anonymization for Research: Data collected from assessments may be used for internal research and to enhance the platform's assessment algorithms and overall model. In such cases, all data will be anonymized and aggregated to protect individual and organizational confidentiality.
  • Informational Purposes: The assessments and reports are intended for informational and self-guidance purposes and should not be solely relied upon for making critical business decisions without further professional consultation.
3. User Responsibilities

As a user of the HAIC-MM platform, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Accurate Information: Provide true, accurate, current, and complete information during registration and when using the assessment tools.
  • Account Security: Maintain the confidentiality of your account password and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security.
  • Prohibited Conduct: Refrain from any attempt to disrupt the platform, compromise its security, or affect data integrity. This includes, but is not limited to, introducing viruses, attempting unauthorized access, or using the platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Compliance with Laws: Use the platform in compliance with all applicable local, provincial, national, and international laws and regulations.
4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content and materials available on the HAIC-MM platform are the intellectual property of its creators and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes:

  • Framework and Methodology: The HAIC-MM framework, its dimensions, capabilities, focus areas, advancement practices, and components.
  • Platform Design and Code: The design, structure, and underlying code of the online assessment tool.
  • Assessment Content: All assessment questions, scoring algorithms, and the content of generated reports.
  • Trademarks and Logos: Any trademarks, service marks, graphics, and logos used in connection with the platform.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for your internal organizational assessment purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our platform without explicit written permission from the copyright holders.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The Human-AI Collaboration Maturity Model (HAIC-MM) online assessment tool and any related content, reports, or materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. The creators of the HAIC-MM, its developers, and affiliates make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the tool or the information, content, materials, or results included or generated by it.

You expressly understand and agree that your use of the HAIC-MM online assessment tool is at your sole risk. The tool is intended for informational and self-assessment purposes only and does not constitute professional advice. The results generated by the tool may not accurately reflect the current or correct state of an organization's AI maturity or human-AI collaboration capabilities.

To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, the creators of the HAIC-MM disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The creators of the HAIC-MM will not be liable for any damages of any kind arising from the use of this tool, including, but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages. You acknowledge that the insights and recommendations provided are for guidance only and that any decisions or actions taken based on the tool's output are solely your responsibility.

6. Modifications to Terms and Platform

We reserve the right to make changes to these Terms of Service and the HAIC-MM platform at our sole discretion. Your continued use of the platform signifies your acceptance of such modifications.

  • Revisions to Terms: We may revise these terms at any time. All changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Your continued use of the platform following the posting of revised terms means that you accept and agree to the changes.
  • Platform Modifications: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any aspect of the HAIC-MM platform at any time and without prior notice. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Features and functionalities of the assessment tool.
    • The assessment methodology, including questions and criteria.
    • Scoring algorithms and the overall HAIC-MM scoring system.
    • The structure and content of generated reports.
  • No Obligation: We are under no obligation to provide support, updates, or maintenance for the platform, though we may choose to do so at our discretion.
7. Cookie Policy

The HAIC-MM platform uses cookies essential for its operation. These cookies are primarily used for:

  • User Sessions: To maintain your logged-in state and ensure a seamless experience as you navigate the platform and complete assessments.
  • Security: To help protect your account and the platform from unauthorized access or malicious activity.
  • Functionality: To remember your preferences and settings, where applicable, to enhance your user experience.

We do not use cookies for tracking your activity across other websites or for targeted advertising purposes. By using the HAIC-MM platform, you consent to the use of these essential cookies. You may be able to manage or disable cookies through your browser settings, but please be aware that doing so may affect the functionality and your experience on the platform.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and your use of the HAIC-MM platform shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms of Service or the HAIC-MM platform shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in the Province of British Columbia, Canada, and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the HAIC-MM platform, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms of Service.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the platform or request account deletion if such a feature is available.

All provisions of the Terms of Service which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the creators of the HAIC-MM, its affiliates, licensors, and service providers, and its and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms of Service or your use of the HAIC-MM platform, including, but not limited to, any use of the platform's content, services, and products other than as expressly authorized in these Terms of Service or your use of any information obtained from the platform.

11. Data Security

We are committed to protecting the security of your personal information and assessment data. We implement a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

  • Security Measures: These include, but are not limited to, data encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.
  • Anonymization: As stated in our "Usage of AI Maturity Assessments" section, data used for research or platform improvement is anonymized and aggregated.
  • User Responsibility: While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Your role in maintaining account security, as outlined in the "User Responsibilities" section, is also crucial.

We will notify you in the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

12. Account Deletion and Data Removal

Upon login, you can access your profile where the delete account feature can be found. If used, all data associated with your user account will be removed and erased from the system and platform.

Anonymized Data for Research: Please note that any data that has already been anonymized and aggregated for research purposes (as outlined in Section 2: Usage of AI Maturity Assessments) cannot be retroactively de-aggregated or removed, as it no longer contains personally identifiable information.

Backup Systems: Residual copies of your data may remain in our backup systems for a limited period as part of our standard data backup and disaster recovery procedures, after which they will also be permanently deleted. We will not use this backup data for any operational purposes.
